Volunteer Community Ambassador
Welcome to the DOVES Program's Volunteer Community Ambassador Information Page. We're glad you're considering joining our team. As a Volunteer Community Ambassador, you will play a vital role in the DOVES Program's mission to promote awareness, understanding, and prevention of violence and abuse.
As a Volunteer Community Ambassador, you will have the opportunity to engage with community members and to help educate them about the DOVES Program's services and resources. You will work closely with the Prevention and Education staff to represent the DOVES Program at booths, community events, and other activities. You will be trained to provide accurate and up-to-date information about the DOVES Program's programs and services and to help connect community members with the resources they need.
We believe that every person has the right to live in a safe and healthy community, and we are committed to working together to create positive change. As a Volunteer Community Ambassador, you will be a key part of this effort.
Volunteer Community Ambassadors will be responsible for:

Providing accurate and up-to-date information about the program's services and resources to community members.

Answering questions about the program and its services.

Sharing information about the program's mission and goals with community members.

Representing the program at community events, such as fairs, festivals, and conferences.

Setting up and manning informational booths at community events.

Distributing materials and resources to community members, such as brochures, flyers, and business cards.

Assisting with community outreach efforts, such as social media campaigns or Days of Actions during awareness months.

Connecting community members with the program's services and resources as needed.
